You should be able to cook food 5 times a week without a sweat, that is something you will have to invest in your health sooner or later. Even top professional body builders and celebrities prefer to eat at home in order to eat healthy and eat less. I don’t know what is it about cooking food yourself at home that makes you eat less.
Something about cooking is just a bit unexplained. You cook, you smell the fragrance of food, that most of the times kills off half your hunger.
Cooking at home can seem a bit hard at first thought but if you really think about it, it is not that hard to cook at home and stay healthy. Now a days technology as enabled us to do things much more easily albeit not without effort. You need to get rid of sugar if you want to lose any kind of weight without going on a diet. If you do exercise great control over your calories then may be you can think about taking normal amounts of sugar but when you are looking to lose weight without dieting then there is no way you can keep on eating sugar the way you might be right now.
Replace your regular soda with water and notice the difference you would feel. For each soda you will replace with water, you would avoid having 10 teaspoons full of sugar. Imagine that.

When was the last time you heard someone say that you could lose weight even while eating Pizza. Apparently you can but obviously you would have to eat a lot less for the whole day after you have had your Pizza.
This is for people who can do that. Even if you do want to Pizza, make sure that it does not contain calories that you do not need. Fill it up with vegetables to give it good color and nutritional value. If you choose vegetable toppings instead of meat ones, you could save up to 100 calories. Which are a lot if you have any idea how hard it is to burn them.
There are many other tricks that you can use to lighten up your Pizza in terms of calories. You can use less cheese ( I do this anyway because I do not really like cheese, only cottage cheese for me) or if you do want to use standard amount of cheese then choose a reduced fat cheese, that will save you some calories too.
You can also choose a thinner crust made of bread and very little olive oil, just a touch if you will. That should really lighten up your pizza and then you can enjoy your Pizza without having to worry about all the extra calories that you did not need.That is the slice of Pizza you should be looking to build, do not go for restaurant ones, they are packed with tons of empty calories.
These changes would not change the taste that much so you should be able to enjoy your regular pizza (with some modifications of course ).
Make use of your old clothes. Assuming you were a bit skinnier before than you are right now, your old clothes can act as a great motivating tool for you to lose weight and keep that weight off. Put your old clothes (which should obviously not fit) somewhere where they can be seen regularly, ideally everyday.
Hang them somewhere where they would remind you to keep working hard each and every day in order to lose weight.

Nowhere am I telling you (in this post at least) to cut down on the carbohydrates or the like. Just get rid of things like white bread and co. As usual, these whole grains are rich in fiber and will fill you up with fewer calories.
They can also help you with your cholesterol levels. Switching to whole grains does not mean that you have to give up things like pizza and stuff. There are no varieties in pizza shops where they use whole grain bread instead of white bread.
You can easily get whole grain waffles, pizza crusts, muffins, pasta and what not. There is no reason for you to keep on going with white bread. Apart from the fact that generally white bread tastes better than the whole grain one, there is nothing good about white bread. You just need to acquire the taste of whole grain bread and once you do , you will not be able to enjoy white bread. It is of no use really unless your having a bad stomach.
Add soup to your diet. I do not want to repeat myself but you have got to realize the benefits that soup would bring to the table. Your weight will start to come off when you add lots of soup into your diet.
Why do I say that? Well, it is pretty simple really. You add soup in your diet throughout the day and you will get filled up on fewer calories. A lot fewer calories.
The best time to have soup is before a meal (it can also be used as a meal itself though) as it has the good effect of slowing down your eating rate and hence curbing your appetite.
You can always start with canned soup just to acquire the taste and then move onto other varieties. Always remember while choosing soup varieties, that it should be a low sodium broth. High amounts of protein are not considered good for health though there is a lot of research going on to prove otherwise.
You can add fresh vegetables or frozen ones to your soup, simmer and you will have yourself a nice meal. Just beware of the creamy soups. They are a no no. They are high in calories and in fat which would make you pile on the pounds.
Eat more of fruits and vegetables. In return, you will lose more weight. Instead of taking one serving of fruit or vegetable with your meals, try for 3 and you will be able to eat more without really trying.
We all know that our brain wants to see some variety. Our body craves variety. That is why if you will eat different vegetables and fruits instead of different kinds of pasta and sandwiches, you will lose more weight.
The astonishing thing about eating vegetables and fruits is that they fill you up with their high fiber and water content. Hence you eat lesser calories and feel full. But you must make sure that you are cooking your vegetables without added fat. In other words, you cannot be pouring down the olive oil or any oil while cooking your vegetables and expect them to be low calorie healthy food.
You can always use herbs and lemon juice to season your vegetables instead of getting rid of their benefits by drowning them in high calorie sauces or some mayonnaise dressings.

But on the opposite side, if you do not sleep the recommended 8 hours a day and keep that up long enough, you can actually increase your chances of gaining weight. It has been proved before that lack of sleep can increase your appetite which will make you hungry for no reason at all.
All the calories you would eat at this point would be utilized for increasing your weight. Get proper sleep and lose weight, that is the motto of this little post.
